Songwriter and producer Alex Sacco studied music at UO. Upon graduating in 2015, Alex moved to Los Angeles and formed Papa Ya with Nate Merchant, who also attended UO. Papa Ya has earned millions of online streams, including three songs that have charted on Spotify’s Viral 50 and one that has charted on Hype Machine. Alex and Nate have also begun fruitful collaborations with A-list songwriters. Outta Here was co-written with Sam Martin (Jason Derulo, Nick Jonas, Maroon 5, David Guetta, Flo Rida, Zedd, Ziggy Marley, One Direction) and reached #6 on the Viral 50 chart.
